We have wonderful students at AeA. We have worked so hard on improving academics and on improving skills among our students. I am excited for them to learn additional valuable skills associated with a performing arts experience.
We will be working each week, for the rest of the year on our production.
In May we will perform our play for family and friends of the students.
All time, resources, efforts, sets, help, and props, are being donated by teachers and parents. We would love to have amazing costumes to make our amazing students shine.
After two years of masking and missing out on opportunities, this chance to work together as a cast and crew to rehearse, dance, sing, memorize, learn, and have fun together will create lifelong memories.
Some of our goals include advanced literacy skills as we read and discuss Alice in Wonderland the book, in conjunction with our play, Wonderland.
Other goals include helping students gain confidence, empathy, understanding and self discovery as we discover ourselves in the characters and in others around us.
We have no budget for this activity, all efforts are being provided by teachers. We would appreciate any help.
