I greet my kindergarten students every day with a "Buenos días" and a hand shake, a hug, or a high-five. My students arrive at school with so much curiosity, questions, and tons of energy . I believe they each contribute to my classroom in a very special way.
In my classroom, my students are emergent bilingual readers, writers, problem-solvers, scientist, engineers, artists, and so much more.
Our school serves a majority of low-income students. It provides free meals to all students. Sadly, some families struggle to provide the basic necessities that the students need.
The wobble chairs and flex ball seating will give my most wiggly students the ability to exert energy and participate during carpet time. I can imagine the difference these chairs will make with my most active students.
It's a fact, some five and six year olds are not able to sit still (despite their best efforts) they NEED flexible seating.
These wobbling stools will allow me to accommodate more students during carpet time and allow them opportunities to become engaged in learning. With limited options now and a supply budget that doesn't stretch much, it is difficult to accommodate my students' many needs.
