My Students
My first graders are a family that looks out for one another and holds each other accountable. They care for each other, are eager to learn, and love to move. They can always find humor in a situation, are eager to participate, and are passionate. We are a Spanish Dual Immersion school. I have students of Anglo and Hispanic backgrounds learning to read and write in Spanish. Each one of my students has a unique quality and each one of those unique qualities is what makes our class feel like home.
My Project
My students need 6 wobbly stools to help focus their bodies and minds during reading, writing and math. These wobbly chairs will help the students in my class who have very wiggly bodies. These stools will provide my students with the opportunity to engage in some movement while they are learning. This flexible seating will also allow differentiation for the learning styles of my students.
I strongly believe that students have different learning styles and many of my students learn best when they are moving.
For many of my students it is a constant struggle to keep their little bodies from wiggling and sometimes it causes for distraction in the class. These stools will benefit my students in more ways than I can express!
