My Sixth graders are a diverse group of eleven and twelve year olds who come to school everyday eager to learn! At the current time I teach 33 students in my Sixth grade class who all have goals of continuing their education and fulfilling their dreams. Most of my students are socioeconomically disadvantaged who dream of becoming first generation university graduates. They are our tomorrow's leaders who need to be given the opportunity to achieve their academic goals and success. I hope you consider my classroom.
I'm diving into flexible seating! My students need the wobble chairs to move around through the different stations in my classroom. Every student works in a different way. The wobble chairs will rock back and forth making them comfortable. The standing table will help my students to stand and work if they feel the need to stretch. This type of table will also help students with attention deficit disorder, because it provides them the opportunity to move. The bean bag cushions will be used for students who like to use a low table. I'm excited and interested to see how my students will improve and succeed in my classroom!
