My Students

I have the opportunity to work with a wide range of learners. My class size will vary throughout the year. I have had as many as twenty-seven students and as low as fifteen. I have found the only way my students will succeed in school is if they are provided with structure and routine throughout their day.

My first graders are very active, creative, and inspirational little learners.

They always come through the classroom doors very eager and excited to learn. School is where they come to receive that needed attention and desire to learn.

My Project

This year I implemented flexible seating. My first graders are loving the options for seating in our classroom. I have noticed that most students enjoy working at a table where they have enough space for their materials. I have three tables students may choose from. One with wobble seats and two with regular chairs. Our current wobble seats are a favorite flexible seating choice. With having 26 students and only 6 wobble seats it creates some setbacks for student choice. Having more wobble seating would allow more of my students to choose a flexible seating spot that is successful for their learning styles.
