Help me give my students core wobble chairs so that we can get the wiggles out!

"I am not a teacher, but an awakener" -Robert Frost. I'm always looking for new ways to "awaken" my students and get them excited about learning.
I work at a charter school in Detroit with a 97% Hispanic population.
I feel like my students are at a disadvantage from the get-go. Not only are they expected to learn the academic material of a first grader, most are only in their second year of learning English and are still in the process of learning a new language. Most of my students also come from underprivileged homes where learning isn't always at the top of the list. Our entire school works really hard to help our students over come these barriers. We hold parent workshops, after school clubs, as well as many after school fun activities. Everything we do is done in order to help our students reach their highest potential.
Wobble chairs are a great alternative to traditional classroom chairs. My classroom received 12 wobble chairs last year and my students absolutely love them. I plan on adding the 3 new wobble chairs to my classroom so that even more students can benefit on a daily basis. My goal is to one day have an entire class set of wobble chairs so that each and every student in my classroom can benefit from the chairs on a daily basis.
First graders are known for being wiggly and these wobble chairs are a great way for them to get the wiggles out!
Wobble chairs were originally designed to support students with ADHD because they provide a physical challenge and opportunity to release energy while simultaneously working. However, I have seen these wobble chairs benefit all of the learners in my classroom. They allow my students to get their wiggles out in a safe way while at the same time helping them to better concentrate on the work at hand. I can't wait to add more wobble chairs to my classroom! The students absolutely love them and I love seeing the difference they make with each and every student!
