My students are part of a Title I neighborhood school in eastern North Carolina. We have 54% of our students who receive free or reduced price lunch. We missed several weeks of school due to Hurricane Florence this fall.
My students enjoy coming to school every day to learn new and exciting skills that will help them to become successful second graders!
We love to move around the classroom to participate in different activities but also need our own space for independent work.
My Project
My students sit at their desks and hard, plastic chairs most of the day. I try to get them up and moving around as much as possible though.
We would love to have a few wobble chairs for our guided reading table.
It would be a nice to give them some flexible seating options so that way they are not sitting in the same chairs all day and it would be a good change.
Privacy partitions would help to keep us focused on our independent work and assessments. Right now, my students use their binders or books which fall over and cause distractions.
