Our school has a diverse population of students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We also have a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds, and we have a large population of students who were once refugees from other countries.
In our classes, we try to give students with all types of learning styles the environment that will best help them succeed.
Many of our students are active learners and they enjoy opportunities to move in the classroom. The more focused our students are, and the more engaged they are in the learning process, the more we are able to achieve in math and science.
My Project
My students love wobble stools! After asking fellow teachers already implementing flexible seating options in their classroom and looking at online reviews, I narrowed it down to the Kore Wobble Stool for our last DonorsChoose project. We quickly had our project funded, and we received 3 to use in class. After giving everyone a chance to sit in them, we took a survey of how well they liked the wobble chairs and some wobble cushions that I already had. The wobble chairs got amazing results, and I have more students wanting to use them than I have on hand. The students love them! They want to sit in them every day! I'd love to have more on hand in our rotation.
I would love to have more wobble chairs available so students can use them more often.
