Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"What are we doing today?" "Where do I get to sit today?" All my kiddos enter our classroom eager, excited, and with many questions! My students are given choices and taken responsibility for their learning. I couldn't be more proud of their determination and thankful for the opportunities provided to them from supporters. These are children who given not given choice of what's for dinner, what clothes to wear, or where they are going to live because of their low income status.

My Project

The active learning stools will be used to help children be actively engaged in academics. These stools will allow my students to move while learning and allow them to focus on the skill being taught. These stools will be used daily by students that feel their academic skill will benefit from being allowed to move.

Students have their own personality as well as their own learning style.

Giving the students resources to be successful is a contributor in their academic and personal growth. These stools will give my students another option in how they learn and what they feel will make them successful.

Not only is my goal to educate children but also, to make them confident learners and adults. These active learning stools will give them the opportunity to grow confidence as well as skills.
