My Students

I am a 4th grade teacher at a suburban intermediate school. We have a mixture of students that live in the suburbs and open enrollment students from the city. Students come ready to learn however they are not always provided with the resources they need to work to their full potential.

For the past four years I have taught students from a variety of ability levels from typically developing to gifted achieving.

I share my students with another teacher. I am responsible for teaching math and science to my 45 students. I try to create an atmosphere that excepts student differences and that embraces each and every one of their skill levels. My math classroom is differentiated so that I can have students working in various groups based on their ability levels.

All of my students in 4th grade come from diverse backgrounds. I try to provide them with as many multi-model learning opportunities to make sure that I meet all of their needs.

My Project

My 4th grade students are usually a very energetic group. They love to move! The wobble chairs will allow them to move while learning!

During our Math Workplace games, students get to move around the room and the wobble stools will give them an added dimension!

They will be utilized at a horseshoe table with a small group. Students really enjoy the math workplace games and the wobble seats will allow them to move with their emotions of playing!

My 45 students will be able to choose the best seating for them in my classroom. This will excite them tremendously as they come into my classroom each day!
