I have many students who have individual needs and they are requesting Bouncy Bands and wobble stools. Some of my students have trouble sitting still and paying attention. These seating options would be a way to accommodate their physical needs and in turn, help with their challenges.
I constantly differentiate my instruction, so differentiating the environment will help to promote what I am always trying to instill in my students, which is that, "Fair isn't everyone getting the same thing.
Fair is everyone getting what they need to be successful. Everyone gets what they need." My students recognize their struggles and we believe these items will help them be their personal best!
My Project
My students need movement to engage their minds in action! Studies have proven that movement assists students with learning, especially those with attention issues.
Kinesthetic learners need movement to access their learning center!
Sitting decreases their oxygen flow, and turns off their minds. Allowing those (and all) students to move, increases their learning exponentially! Engagement in their learning increases, causing students to get in touch with the subjects and lessons. By simply allowing their bodies to wobble, connections to academic subjects are made, which in turn increases learning.
Giving my young students a chance to use Wobble Stools and Bouncy Bands will increase blood flow, engagement, and learning. Help my students WOBBLE their way to achievement!
