Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from all over the district. We are a public school, where parents put their child on the waitlist at four years old to go through the school's lottery. We are a school of choice. We are a high performing school, where parent participation is strongly encouraged. Parent support is key to my students' success. We do not receive federal funding. We have to fundraise for anything extra. Common Core Standards are implemented daily, with a lack of materials. It would be great to get more materials.

My Project

I am asking for your help in getting a class set of Wobble Chairs for students to use at our STEM tables.

They are able to wiggle while they work which leads to better learning and work productivity.

I am working toward getting a full class set, so I can see 100% of students on-task and ready to learn.

These requested Wobble Chairs will allow students to focus while channeling energy during learning by sitting and moving in seats that take away from fidgeting and allows them to sit in ways that work best for them. Wobble Chairs also allows for opportunities for the students to explore how the chairs work and move which is perfect for STEM based learning. I know these Wobble Chairs will work well to make STEM activities engaging, fun, and help the students to stay focused.
