Help me give my students flexible seating at my small group table with Wobble seats. They will all be the same and will allow students to still "wiggle" without bouncing.
My students love to learn in a small group! They get more individual attention and I can give them that extra help when we sit at a small group table. I have those students that just need to move all the time! We do different activities to get them up and moving, but during small group Math and Reading time we just need to sit down and concentrate.
The Yoga balls have become distracting throughout the day and they are constantly falling off them.
It is really hard for them to concentrate while jumping up and down! My only other alternative are regular student chairs. I want to give them the opportunity to be engaged yet comfortable.
My Project
Sitting in Wobble seats will allow my students to get the wiggles out when I'm working in a small group at a table. I would like them to be engaged in their work when I'm teaching. They love coming to my table for small group work! Currently my students are sitting on Yoga balls at my group table but it is distracting when they are constantly rolling off or bouncing on the ball. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. They almost always do better in a small group, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them seating options to be more engaged.
The wobble stools will allow students to sit at a group table but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed!
