Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Active seating options will allow growing minds to focus on the science concepts being presented in class by allowing students to wobble and naturally move in their seats while focusing on the task at hand. The classroom environment is the first impression of students entering the room. The wrong vibe can easily throw students into despair.

Active seating options allow for productive, controlled classroom movement, and individual fidgets can de-escalate stressed out students.

These active seating options will allow my students to burn off some energy, focus on the task at hand, and update the 1970s furniture available to them in our room. Outdated furniture creates a sense of ancientness and irrelevance to the students. New furniture comes with a hefty price tag, but we can easily give our classroom a facelift with a few new seating options!
