My Mighty Kindergarteners earned the nickname by attacking each goal I set for them with excitement and zeal. They learned very quickly to say, "I need help, please," instead of "I can't." It is my wish to give them every advantage despite any limitations. Nothing compares to the brilliant smile of a child that has mastered a goal that was previously a struggle.
I want each and every one of them to love school and seize opportunity with both hands.
Kindergarten isn't what it used to be. We don't just learn to socialize and color in the lines anymore. Most don't really realize that we learn to be quiet during instruction,to use our spy voices inside, we must ask to go to the restroom, to line up quietly, to walk quietly in the halls, that it's ok to make mistakes as long as we learn from them. All of these are simple tasks individually but all at once are quite a bit for youngsters. Some struggle more with the being still in a chair for instruction and cause distractions for our friends sitting around us. When given an appropriate way to expend energy during learning time, everyone in the classroom community benefits. Kinders have so much energy and need a way to harness it. If they are struggling to sit still, how can they focus on math, language arts, science, and social studies? The K'Motion Stools are an excellent tool for managed movement while you work.
