My students need flexible seating arrangements within our classroom. Wobble seats will allow students who fidget to wobble while they work. The dry erase table will be functional in our math center.
My students are an energetic, fun, and smart group of kids. Each student in my class has their own unique personality and way of learning. These students like to move about the room to avoid boredom. Smart, oh these kiddos are smart. I can not wait to see what they can do when they have the ability to move about and be independent.
The students in my class come from a variety of income levels, most being low-income.
We are a school where 95% are being bussed each day with an hour or longer bus route. We are also in the state of Illinois. Over the past 10 years, our district has been at "bare bones" and have learned to teach with less each year.
Recently we have acquired a way to take our school district to the next level and are going to able to slowly implement going digital with education. It is such an exciting time for administrators, teachers, parents, and students. We can't wait to get this project up and running!
My Project
Students that have difficulty sitting still in order to concentrate will be able to wobble while they work. Students who typically fidget will have the ability to do so while not distracting others. Students are loving the idea of being able to move about the room and choose the seating that they feel will work for them.
