My Students

If there is one word I would use to describe our school, it would be “community.” We work hard to make our school feel inclusive and welcoming. We have a diverse community of learners and we encourage collaboration and teamwork.

We have a unique community.

Many of my students go home to cows and chickens hanging out in their backyards. The parents in our community are hard workers who often work third shift to provide for their families, but still find time to participate in our school activities. Local business leaders can often be seen having lunch with students, acting as mentors. People who visit our school tell us that they can tell how much our school and community cares for our students.

My Project

Lately, our stools at the back table in our classroom have been used so many times that the legs are breaking off. My students have the tendency to rock on my metal legged stools and I am down to one.

These wobble stools would give my students the opportunity to wobble and work at the back table in our classroom.

We usually use our back table for guided reading, individual learning opportunities and to provide extra assistance to students who need it. These wobble stools would be a valuable addition to our classroom and help to support all student needs!
