My Students

We are part of a wonderful school that is focused on creating respectful, responsible and ready students! It is a Title I school. I am a first grade teacher to 18 wonderful students. My students each learn in different ways and show their individual talents through their hard work. They enjoy having the ability to choose their work pace from crate seats to stools. This helps them focus on their ability level and excel in all subject areas. I can’t wait to see how much they will grow this year!

My Project

Currently, we are already implementing flexible seating in our classroom. We have truly seen an improvement in focus and an increase in the quality of work. They love having the ability to chose their own workspace and they get excited to switch spots throughout the day. These wobble stools will allow a new choice that will give each student the ability to move while they work. I have some active first graders who can really benefit from this option. Thank you for taking the time to show your support and helping us improve our learning environment to meet each child’s individual need!
