Wobble While We Work!

Help me give my students 5 wobble chairs in order to increase core strength while using motion to keep them engaged in learning.

My Students

My students are creative, hardworking, and believe in building relationships. These students are full of potential and come ready to learn each day. They enjoy a free breakfast during morning round up where they practice social skills and build community.

My students believe in academic and social success.

Restorative practices are taken to heart by these students, not just the teachers. My students are not afraid of a challenge. I'm excited to see what the future holds for my amazing students.

My Project

Staying engaged and focused is hard enough when you are on grade level, let alone, two or more grade levels behind due to a disability. Some kids need more motion than others. For some students with a sensory processing disorder or ADHD, motion allows their brain to be engaged. Balancing on a wobble chair will also increase core strength which is directly related to handwriting and other motor skills.

These five wobble chairs will allow my special needs students to channel their physical energy in a positive way, allowing them to focus on their work and reach their full potential as learners.

They will also reduce distracting behaviors and increase legible word productivity.
