My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds.

I teach ESL students within my middle school classroom representing over 15 different countries. Besides teaching English to speakers of other languages I am also responsible for their language arts curriculum.

I am hoping this project will help my students to continue to celebrate the diversity within themselves and to further teach tolerance in a world that keeps showing examples of intolerance. We must start with our future if we hope to not repeat the past.

My Project

Students can wiggle and wobble on these chairs without distracting themselves or others. Giving my students flexible seating options other than traditional chairs will allow them the option to sit in a way that will be most conducive to their learning. They will be able to sit in a comfortable option that will allow them to move around if they have trouble sitting still or naturally wiggle.

My students deserve to have seating options that allow them to wiggle while they work.

Having flexible seating options allows students to keep their focus on their work and not on how uncomfortable they may be in traditional seating. This project will do just that by providing wobble chairs
