My Students
In my computer lab, students are building higher level thinking skills when they have a chance to create, design, navigate, and collaborate with the use of technology. I teach digital literacy in an urban kindergarten through 5th grade school.
Our school is located in an area of high poverty.
We receive Title I funding, and my students receive free breakfast and lunch to ensure that they have a meal to eat. For many of my students, school is the only place where they have hands-on experience with technology.
My Project
The wobble stools I have chosen will help me continue to allow for choice seating for my students in the computer lab, whether sitting at a desktop computer or using a tablet. They assist for students to move around.
Different students have different learning needs and for some students, that means different types of seating.
These stools will allow for replacement of some of our traditional computer lab seating that is fabric, worn down and almost seventeen years old. We currently have 3 wobble stools and they do help many students by allowing a student who moves their legs around a lot while in class to move around and work their energy out.
