My Students

I work in an suburban school district in Pennsylvania with students from very diverse backgrounds. They great thing about my school is that it is in a town with a lot of history and cultural diversity. I love having a classroom with representation of all skin tones and cultural backgrounds.

"If you're bored teaching, your students are bored learning," is my favorite quote and describes me as a teacher.

My students are the reason I love my job and my goal is for them to love school and to develop a love for learning.

My K-4 elementary school prepares our students for the future by meeting the various needs of all the students. We try to provide the students with as many learning experiences as possible to provide them with best education possible.

My Project

Flexible seating in the classroom has helped my students focus on learning by being able to move around, so they don't become antsy and distracting. With only 15 minutes of recess a day, flexible seating is a great way to add additional movement in the daily schedule.

Wobbling while learning will help with physical stimulation, so they can keep their mental focus on school work.

Making sure the students are comfortable is an essential component to motivating them.

The products I am requesting will be an alternative option to uncomfortable classroom chairs that they are required to sit in for the majority of the day. The balance balls will help my 3rd graders get their wiggles out, and help them stay engaged and focused on instruction. More and more teachers are moving towards flexible seating because they've seen the positive effects.
