Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a K-2 transition room with ASD supports. Our room is in between a catigorical room and a regular resource room with 10 students to date. My students start their day with me but are also pushed into their general education class for inclusion time.

Our room is the first of its kind in the district and my students are paving the way for future special education students in this program.

My class is funny, loving and inquisitive with all people they come in contact with. There is never a dull day in our classroom and all victories, big or small, are celebrated with great joy!

My Project

Having the Wobble Chairs will help my students be engaged in their learning. The majority of my students move around while they work or listen to our lesson.

These Wobble Chairs give my students the ability to actively move at their seats while still being able to do their work or participate in our lesson.

My students would also love these as another sensory outlet for themselves. Sensory is a huge part of my students lives. Not only will these Wobble Chairs help with student engagement but also help them regulate their sensory needs. These Wobble Chairs give my students the power to control their own sensory needs on a daily basis.
