This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing individuals and look forward to learning in a safe environment where we are all actively engaged and growing. My students come from a variety of ethnicities, socio-economic and ability levels, but all of them enjoy reading and actively learning. My students work hard to persevere in growing their academic capacity social development and emotional reasoning. Currently, they have inexpensive stools that they can’t tip due to them breaking. They desperately want to wobble and I find they work better when doing so.

My Project

I am looking to add two wobble stools to allow my students to have the option to move and learn. Having the opportunity to wiggle and shift while learning helps students to focus and learn. Flexible seating and choices is something all students can appreciate. Having suitable choices gives them ownership, providing an environment they want to be in to learn and stretch themselves academically and socially. All students can benefits from the chairs, whether special ed, high achieving, ELL, boy or girl. Currently, we have a few stools, but they limit mobility and break when students naturally tip on them.
