My students are extremely special and wonderful, as is our school!! We have a tight knit community that works together to help our students become well rounded individuals. Our school is extremely low funded by the state due to living in a rural area. We have to work hard at fundraising every year in order to keep our amazing programs going strong, such as: life lab, computer lab, library, music, and art.
This year I have incorporated flexible seating in my classroom and it is a GREAT hit!!
The students and I love how well they can move around the room to find their best working spots! It reduces chatting and promotes best learning practices for each individual student.
My Project
My students need wobbly stools in our flexible seating classroom! This year I tried something new = flexible seating, and it has been a HUGE HIT with all of my students!!
Flexible seating allows students to find THEIR best working spots to do their best work!!
This allows for less chatting, spreading out around the room comfortably, and a lot of awesome and hard work to happen! Some of our flexible seating so far includes: low table with pillows, high table with stools, a loft, a canopy, beanbag chairs, and scoop rocker chairs. Most of these things I have paid for out of my own pocket.
I have noticed a need for something different for my wiggly students to be able to sit on. Wobble stools will allow for students to get some wiggles out while working at the same time!! It's a win win! However, these stools are pricey, and I cannot continue to spend my own money on these seating choices. I would greatly appreciate anything you can donate to help us reach our goal!
