My Students

The students in my second grade class this year are young, smart, energetic, and culturally diverse. They are very hard workers and they work hard together despite their differences. These amazing students all qualify for free breakfast and lunch programs, as our entire school is Title I. Additionally, they receive food food bags every Friday from a local food bank to help families over the weekend.

Despite their struggles, these students accomplish many things in our classroom through hard work and dedication.

My Project

Kinesthetic learners need to wiggle while they work. Wobble Cushions and Wobble Chairs offer the perfect balance of movement and focus. Students will be able to wiggle, learn, and roll in acceptable manners while staying safe, focused, and on-task. Providing constructive ways for students to move while learning can increase retention of information and engagement. Sitting in hard and uncomfortable chairs has become a struggle for my students as they try to stay focused and engaged.

These chairs will not only provide a more comfortable learning environment for my students, but they will improve active students' abilities to focus on their work.
