Our school is a Title I school located in an area with very limited resources. Our school is made up of a diverse culture where many students come from low socioeconomic households.
We try every day to impact our students in any way that will make their lives positive.
Our kids inspire us to come to work every day!
Many are trying to rise above the challenges of poverty in their life ( single-parent homes, parents working two jobs just to pay the bills) and use education as a means to improve the quality of their lives. These kids still look at education as fun and are enthusiastic learners. They are always asking about how things work or why events happen.
Our classroom is built by building a community. In our classroom, we can feel safe and be comfortable to learn in our own ways. Having these chairs would benefit my students greatly! Students would be able to move in a way that would allow them to focus without distracting other students. In our classroom, we have flexible seating. The various types of seating allow students to move around the room when they need a change from sitting at a desk, with a typical chair. Every student learns in a different environment and it is my goal to have students feel comfortable while being able to learn!
