As a teacher in a low-income rural school, my students lack access to some necessary resources. I teach 45 students daily in the areas of ELA and Social Studies. They come from varied backgrounds and life experiences, but for the school year, we work together as a team.
I want students to learn in the most effective environment.
As students learn new material, I want to create an exciting learning environment for them throughout our year together. My students learn in a variety of ways, and I want to meet each individual student's needs in the classroom. Engaging students in the learning process is crucial to the learning process.
My Project
I will use the wobble stools with specific students who struggle with sitting in a traditional chair to learn. I have several students whose learning will benefit from a flexible seating option within the classroom.
Students do not all learn in the same way.
As a teacher, it is my job to vary the strategies used in the classroom. However, the seating issue is an area that personally I cannot address. This is why I would greatly appreciate your help in supporting this project. My students will use and learn more effectively on a daily basis in a more effective way for them individually.
