My Students

Energetic, inquisitive, passionate, and ambitions; theses are the adjectives that come to mind when I think about my amazing group of 2nd graders. Although they all come from uniquely different walks of life, they each share an adventurous spirit that is alive and well within our classroom community. Their eagerness to explore and conquer the unknown is an inspiration and keeps me craving more classroom time each year.

Although it is my job to teach them, they end up teaching me.

These children are a constant reminder that it is ok to take chances and make mistakes. They are a constant reminder that growth can occur even when you're "wrong". We are on an incredible learning journey together.

My Project

Naturally, sitting seems to be a good portion of my 2nd grader's day, but who says sitting has to be an idle activity? My classroom needs a set of wobbles chairs to help enhance student's small group learning time while offering the opportunity to move while working. These seats will serve as an outlet to release pent up energy as student sit during a small group lesson.

By donating to our project, you will not only be contributing to the improvement and increase of student's attention and focus, you will ultimately be playing a large role in their academic success as well.

My students are tired of sitting still in traditional seating. Help give them the opportunity to wobble while they work. This is a wonderful opportunity to join me in encouraging students to move about and leave traditional seating in the past!
