As my third graders transform from primary to intermediate students, they find balance between creativity and logical reasoning. Building healthy study habits is an essential part of our daily routine. They respond well to a variety of tools to increase student engagement.
When students are engaged in their learning, they take responsibility for their learning.
Cognitive development blooms when needs are met.
Building literacy across the curriculum requires students' full attention and time on task. Every moment matters to grow successful children. I ask for support to build a classroom that supports 21st century literacy development.
Students will be using the WOBBLE chairs at the small group table or other learning stations in the classroom. We rotate through small groups in Reading, Math and Writing. The slight movement of the chairs can help students stay focused during critical learning moments. In third grade, students are building stamina to work independently to master a variety of learning standards. Focus and self control is an essential skill for students to do well.
Movement supports cognitive development.
The Kore WOBBLE chair is designed to engage muscles and provides an opportunity to release excess energy.
The chair can help improve balance and allows students' backs, knees, and hips to rest comfortably.
