My students need 25 subscriptions to Scholastic News as well as wobble chairs to get our wiggles out!
Welcome to our classroom! Smell the crayons, see the many desks, feel the excitement, and hear the desire to learn! We live in a rural part of Utah. Our school is unique- we are a very tight-knit community. We have many foster children that are in our schools. We love living in the beautiful place we do, but because we are far from amenities, we don't get life experiences outside of the classroom.
It takes a community to raise a child, and I am doing my best in my classroom to influence these beautiful children.
We have the wiggles in second grade. We love to wobble and wiggle all day. We need 12 wobble chairs to help wobble our wiggles away while we learn. We need to wiggle while we read our Scholastic News magazines. They are full of rich science and social studies material to enhance our learning in second grade. Scholastic News is a wonderful way for me to integrate science and social studies into our weekly schedule. We as a second grade class love to learn, but those wiggles sometimes get the best of us. We can't wait to wobble, wiggle, and read our day away!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
