Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have many students with learning and attention issues. Whether they clinically are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, have an IEP for a learning/attention issue, or have a 504 for the same. Usually my class is very chatty and needs help focusing. Generally my students come from families that want to be supportive but don't know how to do that. The school district I'm employed at is a low-income district. With all that said, the students have a love of learning and love to have fun.
My Project
The wobble stools I am requesting are a type of flexible seating item. Flexible seating ensures students are focused and engaged. My student are capable of so much! Not only will these stools be used as a tool for focused learning; but also, these seating options will be used as a reward.
So many students in my district and in my class suffer from learning and attention issues.
This project is going to be such a game changer! I have seen so many of my students *dangerously* leaning in their chairs, doodling thoughtlessly and fidgeting. I know these wobble stools will make a world of a difference in my classroom and to my students. Please help me reach my goal and support these amazing kids!
