My Students

Every day I welcome 53 energetic kiddos into my classroom. We laugh, smile, and learn so much throughout the day. We take long walks around the building after lunch to get out our wiggles, but then we go and sit down in 15+ year old chairs to learn.

My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous, but not always willing to sit.

They need to be moving, wobbling, and standing. Like most 10 year old kids, my kiddos have so much energy that they do not know how to use appropriately.

It is my job to provide these kiddos the best opportunity to learn, and so I need your help! I know that as a kid, active learning would have greatly benefited me. What about you?

My Project

My classroom full of eager learners that are in need of some engaging seating options. My 5th graders are housed in a middle school with NO RECESS :(

These specific stools allow for lots of movement while in the seat, which tends to be calming for students with ADD, ADHD, Autism, and anxiety.

This small but necessary movement allows their brains to organize and make sense of new information all while sitting.

Although we get up, move, and groove to our lessons, I know that these seats will help during times necessary to sit and learn. We might not have recess, but we can have flexible seating with your help! Thank you :)
