I have 29 amazing 3rd grade students this year.
My kids love to learn and are hard workers. By offering these kids a variety of seating options, they will be able to accommodate their individual learning styles.
I teach in a Title I school where most of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Despite economic disadvantages, my students come to school eager to learn.
My Project
Working with my occupational therapist, I selected for my project a variety of seating so that my students can choose the option that is most helpful for them. We included Wobble Chairs, Butterfly Stools, and Yoga Ball Chairs.
Movement increases my students' ability to engage in the learning process.
Flexible seating has the highest impact on students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and students that have difficulty processing sensory information.
Movement increases my students' ability to engage in the learning process. Having the ability to wiggle while they work using seating options designed for just that will increase productivity immensely!
