My Students

I have a wonderful group of 2nd grade students! They come to school eager to learn every day and they are soaking up every ounce of knowledge that I am giving them! All of my students come from middle to lower class families with wonderful supportive families.

Students in any classroom sit for long periods of time, but they need to be able to move as often as possible to stay focused.

We all know how uncomfortable school chairs can be over prolonged periods of time, now with so many different options available it is time to change that.

My Project

My current classrooms chairs are the typical hard plastic chairs found in all classrooms which are uncomfortable for prolonged use. Wobble stools and bouncy bands will help my students remain active while still staying in their assigned seating area. Students can "wobble" on their stool by rocking back and forth while remaining seated. The bouncy bands will allow students to "bounce" their legs without distracting the entire class from tapping their feet on the classroom floor.

Students will have increased oxygen and blood flow and core strength by using wobble stools and bouncy bands.

The increased oxygen and blood flow will help my students become more alert and focused.
