In our diverse population, we have learners with a range of abilities and situations, ranging from gifted to struggling learners as well as ADHD, autistic spectrum, epilepsy, and severe diabetic conditions.
Every day my sixth-graders are excited and eager to learn about new places, new people, and new cultures.
I love to share literature with my children, and my students LOVE to read! My students travel from all parts of the school district to reach our performing and arts middle school.
My Project
Imagine a classroom full of wordsmiths: students exploring new words, creating language, and investigating how other writers utilize words to convey meaning, mood, and tone.
My children are curious about text and would appreciate a Webster's unabridged dictionary.
Wordplay will provide fun opportunities for students to construct and dissect words, discover word origins, synthesize new understanding, and learn new vocabulary.
In addition, learners will examine and highlight authors' strategies for effective word usage. As a result, students will learn how to incorporate strong voice within their own writing. Furthermore, students with robust word skills and extensive vocabularies perform better in all academic areas.
