My students are from a Title I school in the suburbs of Detroit. The Transitional Kindergarten program gives children from all cultures and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district before going to kindergarten. My energetic TK students enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
They love to read books, draw pictures, use online programs, build structures, and compare, sort, and pretend play throughout the day.
They light up as they proudly identify letters and discover sounds. They love to learn!
My Project
My students are so excited to use our new tablets during our daily stations, but we need headphones to keep down the distractions. The noise from the different programs are distracting to other students and the headphones will allow all students to focus on their task at hand. The headphones will allow students to work independently and concentrate, which optimizes their learning experience.
My students love using technology, but they also love painting and creating projects that show their understanding of what we are learning.
I'm always amazed at the amount of paint that we utilize throughout the year. This paint will allow us to finish the year with bright, colorful projects.
