Hi and welcome to our class! I am blessed to work with amazing children that range from ages 3, 4 and 5 years old! We are an integrated, half-day classroom made up of students with special needs and typical students. To say our day is busy is an understatement. Our day is scheduled to provide time to work on social and emotional skills, academics, technological skills and dramatic play time. The class roster can go to upwards of 50 students, (not all at once) as children attend school either in the morning or afternoon session.
Our class is filled with fun-loving students with various learning styles, strengths, and challenges.
Our goal is to always continue to grow and learn and of course to be kind!
My Project
On the daily, our fabulous students get into small groups to learn more about literacy, math and vocabulary. These concentrated groups give the students a chance to get the attention and instruction they need from the teacher.
Our current easel is of the plastic type, which I'm sure you can imagine the rips and tears it currently has.
We use the easel to display the letter of the week, the words we are writing and the phonemic skills we are learning. The table easel we have now cannot hold a dry erase board as the plastic has succumbed to its age.
