My students need new tables that are safer to use during class! The tables will also allow my students to work more efficiently in small cooperative groups during math and science classes to build their skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In a classroom of 50 students, space and storage are limited. Each student comes in every day ready to learn in mathematics and science. We know that learning does not come easy, but when we work hard and together, our goals can be achieved. One way to help accomplish this is by having tables that are safe and reliable to use.
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with more than 70% receiving free lunch.
As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are as diverse in their academics. The funding for this project will allow the students to have a nice and safer workspace to sit or stand while they learn.
My Project
The tables in this project are meant to provide students with a new, safer spot to complete their assignments. We would like to have new tables in our classroom because our current tables are falling apart. The new tables will allow the students to work collaboratively within their groups on assignments, as well as let them have the space they need to work independently.
The tables will also be a way to help save space in the classroom to allow the students to have more space away from their tables to work on other projects or in learning stations.
Our campus is big on working in groups and encourage it as much as possible.
Table seating arrangements also help the students to learn about invisible boundaries and personal space, as well as it teaches them how to keep organized within their area.
