Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My preschool students are full of wonder and eager to explore and learn. They are hard-working and inquisitive. They tackle each learning task with enthusiasm and determination. They are participants in an integrated program for students with and without disabilities.
Every child should feel successful in school, and many of our students are attending school for the first time, so an initial positive learning experience will lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
These young scholars are not without their challenges to learning. Ninety percent of our students are designated as high needs, meaning they are English Language Learners and/or students with disabilities. In preschool, they are developing language, pre-academic, and social skills to help overcome these challenges.
My Project
A Microsoft Surface Go will allow my students to access learning opportunities on a digital platform.
The ability to access technology at a young age will benefit our young learners by helping them be more prepared for school in our digital world.
Students will use the computer to access our interactive reading and math program that integrates science and social studies in an engaging manner through 3-D animal characters that come to life before their eyes. They will have access to digital content so that they can engage in brain boosts, participate in music and breaks, and access mindfulness activities.
