This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love about my first graders is that they are eager to learn and participate when they have something that they can see/touch. Right now, my students are learning how to become better readers and learning their fundamental math skills.

I have iPads for students but I don't have headphones for them.

So the headphones will help my students to better concentrate and hear their own reading/math/science sessions without being distracted by listening to other students' sessions.

In my opinion, the first-grade students were the most affected during Covid-19 because as they were in kindergarten they had to do distance learning. So as we know it is not the same to learn remotely than in the classroom. Some of my students continue to struggle with their reading and math skills so that is why I chose the reading and math materials for them to reinforce those skills.
