This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students in my class are all diverse learners. They work hard and don't let their disabilities hinder their desire to excel. They support each other and have a strong sense of community within the classroom and throughout the school.
Many are avid readers, while others are math enthusiasts.
Some are writers and want to someday publish their work.
In spite of their many challenges, my students believe in themselves and their ability to overcome those challenges and experience success.
My Project
The character education books can help my students understand what character is and its importance. The diverse books can introduce the students to a variety of circumstances they may encounter and provide examples of how to respond to them.
Many students come to school daily without the supplies required to be successful in the classroom.
They are often embarrassed to ask for items they need. The supplies requested in this project will provide them with the basic items every student should have access to.
The supplies will help students complete assignments and participate in class activities related to instructional lessons.
