I teach in a school in Camden where my students are creative, clever and very spontaneous. They are eager to learn and more importantly, excited for each class.
They are learning in the same tight-knit school community that encouraged and inspired me to be a teacher.
They are dreamers, thinkers, conversationalists, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to me, others around them and themselves, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding political majors, athletes, science majors, business majors, education majors... They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful careers.
The use of iPads is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Using the electronics we are able to read a variety of books, watch videos and share with one another the history of the world. Often students will use the iPads during centers to gain a better understanding of the material when a teacher is working with others in a small group setting. The iPads allow the students to be focused and excited about learning on an individual basis.
This is a project that will allow students to learn, be encouraged, excited, independent and overall educated in an exciting a new way!
