These students are special because they have auditioned to be a member of our school's musical. We applied and were accepted to receive Disney Musical in Schools for Kids. This has brought our school community together.
Our entire community is already looking forward to our performance of The Lion King this year.
Our neighborhood that our kids come from is very transient. The students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and all of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Our students do not have many opportunities like performing in this musical, and we want to ensure the entire community can enjoy the students' hard work.
My Project
We are asking for wireless microphone sets. This will allow our students to put on performances for our community. Last year, when we put on a show, the kids did better than expected on their performances. However, it was a shame the audience could not hear them because we did not have the system/microphones to allow the students to be heard.
This year we are putting on another production and want to make sure the community, parents, and staff members can hear the handwork and dedication these aspiring actors have put into the play.
The microphones will be for the lead roles as well as supporting roles. This will benefit their acting experience so much more!
