My Students

Hello! My name is Sandie Hall, and I am a 5th-grade teacher at M. Elementary School with 27 students. My students are full of energy and are excited to learn.

I am currently completing my Educational Dictatorial Degree in Instructional Technology.

My goal this school year is to integrate technology in a variety of ways to my students. We currently use Chromebooks to explore Google Apps for Education. My next goal is to obtain technology that ventures past the computer.

My Project

My students need a wireless microphone and speakers to increase student engagement and improve the sound quality of lessons.

We've all been there...sitting in the back of the classroom where you can barely hear the teacher or the classmate who's presenting.

This is a harsh reality that the students in my classroom don't have to face. I want each of my 27 students to hear me loud and clear when I greet them each morning!

When students cannot hear what's going on, they "tune out." They start drawing, finding toys to play with or engage in misbehavior. This does not have to happen. When students can hear, very clearly, what's being said by the teacher, they are going to stay more engaged with the lesson and with the instructions. This will decrease management issues and improve student learning daily.
