My current classroom setting is special education-resource, grades 3-6, where I meet the needs of each individual student. My present classroom caseload consists of 24 students. Within my classroom setting, I have been given the privilege to teach a diverse group of students, including those with ADD/ADHD, autism, Asperger’s, speech impairments, non-compliant behaviors and specific learning disabilities.
It is imperative that I take each student's unique goals, needs and interest into consideration when designing and implementing lesson plans, activities as well as my classroom setup.
”If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” -Ignacio Estrada
Our school has gone to 1:1 devices. I have seen that my students often struggle with the mice pads and spend more time trying to navigate technology versus being able to focus on their work. The majority of my students are used to using a mouse and having these mice would allow them to focus on their work, do their best and truly navigate the new world of technology.
My classroom will go full force into virtual learning in the upcoming school year.
The gift of these mice would be greatly beneficial.
