Wireless (Headphones) for a WINNING Technology Experience!
My students need these wireless headphones to make their technology experiences more meaningful. Without experiencing wiring issues, students will have daily access to good-quality, working headphones to complete assignments, and place all focus on personal activities.
I teach a classroom full of spirited, driven, and energized first graders! In my classroom, we are a family. We spend our time each day collaborating, problem solving, and thinking outside the box. My students support one another and work hard to build acceptance among their peers.
Technology is a large portion of our day!
Because of living in a mildly poverty-stricken area, many of my students are faced with hardships outside of the school day. This does not hinder their willingness to get to school to try their best. However, this does sometimes stop them from being fully equipped with the materials to do so. Being fortunate enough to attend school in a 1:1 school district, students spend quite a bit of time creating and working on their iPads. Sometimes cords get tangled and broken, which leads to needing replacements that funds cannot always pay for. Having the access to wireless headphones could make their school experience that much more meaningful!
My Project
With wireless headphones, technology experiences will become more personal! My students are blessed to attend school in a county with a 1:1 technology initiative. Students use their iPads each day to collaborate, think critically, create, and learn. Although the request is made for each student to bring headphones, wear and tear with cords and plug ins happens when in the hands of 7-year-olds. As replacements are requested, they are not always fulfilled due to financial situations.
This project will help erase the minute issues of broken cords, malfunctioning wires, or completely broken headphones and place a good-quality pair in each child's hand to maximize their experience with a piece of technology!
