This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in an urban, low-income community school with over 500 students. Many of our students come from high poverty homes. Students come from many diverse backgrounds and include a large amount of English as a second language students. We are a title 1 school and all of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Despite the challenges they face outside of school, students come to our school excited to learn and need the tools that will help them reach their goals. As an educator I focus on creating a community in my classroom where students feel safe, secure, and motivated to learn.

My Project

These keyboards and mice will help my students instantly. A wireless keyboard and mouse will maximize learning time. We have 3 computers to a table and as tight as it all the wires get in the way. The students won’t have to spend time untangling or adjusting the mouses cord length. Going wireless will also provide more space for student work.

They will be able maximize their instructional time by place their notes pages on the tables without requiring something to write on.

The wireless keyboards will enable my students to freely write, research and explore during guided reading. This lets the student release any stress and focus on their final piece.
