Wire Free PE-Safely Infusing Technology Into Physical Education!

My students need these 2 Apple TV's so that we can safely utilize technology in the physical education setting! These will allow the teacher to stream instructional material to our mounted televisions in the gym without wires!

My Students

My students are in grades 1-8 and attend a public school in Pennsylvania. We have a diverse population of about 565 students. We are a Title 1 school and have a large percentage of our students enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program.

The students are technologically savvy and jump at the opportunity to utilize technology in class.

They appreciate when lessons are infused with technology because it makes the learning more relevant to their everyday lives.

Our goal with this project is to raise funds for Apple televisions that will be connected to mounted TVs in the gym so that students and teachers can go wireless when trying to infuse technology into Physical Education classes! Setting up a projector is not practical and not safe in a physical education setting!

My Project

Most classrooms today are equipped with smartboards and projectors so that technology can be used in lessons! Due to the safety risks and practicality associated with having this type of equipment in a physical education setting, we have essentially no technology infused into our lessons. The Apple TV's will allow the teachers (and students) to infuse technology into their lessons without the worry of creating trip hazards or losing gym space to accommodate a projector cart.

There are many apps available that would enhance lessons and captivate the students through the use of technology.

Our goal is to bring the gymnasium into the 21st century so that we can utilize them in our lessons!
