Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Synergy is felt as you walk into our classroom. You are welcomed by the classroom greeter while I continue to enhance student growth. Students are polite and engaged in learning. All seems normal but stay a while.
Our young scholars ignite their hunger for this information age.
Every question posed is eagerly addressed. Every challenge is taken as an opportunity. "Teacher, why?" "Teacher, where?" All day the questions are welcomed from unexpected corners of the lesson.
I have been challenged to teach and am humbled to say that they have taught me possibly the same if not more than I could ever teach them... thirst for life and success! "I failed my way to success" - Thomas Edison.
My Project
The technology world for young minds is the best, but it can also limit creativity. These simple back to basics dry erase markers and consumables will give students much needed time away from electronics.
Ignite creativity through quick dry-erase drills practices of cursive, language arts, and reading!
Students will each have their pair of dry erase markers and boards to jot down quick checks of skills learned. As a teacher, I will instruct a lesson and ask the students to practice on their boards. I will quickly assess and redirect as needed. Once their work is on target on their boards they can resume their practice on paper. I believe this will help them become engaged while stepping away from screens.
